Emerging artist 1Rich, currently based in Atlanta but originally from Rochester, New York, is quickly carving out his own lane in the music industry. Identifying simply as an artist, 1Rich is building his brand on a clear message: success, positivity, and having fun—without promoting violence or negativity.

“What makes me stand out is that I don’t encourage anybody to be violent or negative,” he explains. “I try to paint a picture in my music where everyone can just enjoy life and make money.”
How it all started
Though still early in his career, 1Rich is already gaining traction. His journey began to take shape after competing in—and winning—ItsMizzy’s Song Wars, a pivotal moment that helped launch his current run. As part of his victory, he earned the opportunity to shoot a professional music video, further elevating his presence as an artist to watch.
Building on that momentum, he released a project titled War, a collection of songs that originated from the competition that put him on the map. One standout track, “Handsome,” has already begun making noise, backed by the visual he earned through his win.
The mindset of 1Rich
Despite entering a competitive industry, 1Rich maintains a confident and grounded mindset. “I never really felt like any challenges were too big,” he says. “Of course, you wonder if people are going to like your music, but I never cared too much about that. Either you like it or it’s just not for you.”
Like many independent artists, he’s had to navigate the learning curve of the business side—figuring out how to release music, handle publishing, and understand distribution. But instead of seeing those as obstacles, he views them as part of the process.
Outside of music, 1Rich is also balancing college and everyday responsibilities, showing a level of discipline that reflects in both his work ethic and his artistic growth.
What’s next
Looking ahead, his vision is clear. “In a few years, I see myself being even richer,” he says. “I want to be doing shows—that’s something I really enjoy—and I want my music to reach everyone it’s meant for.”
With a strong message, a growing catalog, and undeniable momentum, 1Rich represents a new wave of artists focused not just on sound, but on substance.
