Angel BP: The Face of the Midwest’s Next Wave
From the quiet streets of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, emerges a voice determined to give the Midwest a sound and a name of its own — Angel BP, a self-made artist whose story is as raw as his lyrics.
The start of Angel BP’s career
Born the oldest in his family, Angel BP’s path wasn’t paved with ease. From being on his own around the age of 14 to navigating life without much guidance, his upbringing built the foundation for his relentless drive and authenticity. “I’ve dealt with a lot of hardships that I don’t really forget,” he says. “But those hardships are what make me, me. I’ve jumped through a lot of hoops to get where I’m at now — I tend to thrive in chaos even though it’s my least favorite position to be in.”
That resilience is reflected in every bar and melody. Sioux Falls isn’t known as a musical hotspot, but that’s exactly why Angel BP is determined to change the narrative. “I’m out of a small city where there isn’t a lot of noise,” he says. “The Midwest needs a face, and I’m here for it.”
His journey began with inspiration close to home — collaborating on early tracks with his older homies DeadboyGeezy and Bash Wise, who helped shape his early sound and drive. “Those songs are in the archives now,” he explains, “but they helped mold the energy behind what I do today.”
hard work into numbers 📈
Now, Angel BP is gaining traction with his latest release, “CREAM (feat. Blaeko)”, a collaboration that’s quickly becoming a fan favorite. “That song has gotta be my favorite out of my catalog so far,” he shares. “At the beginning of 2026, we’re planning on going live on Phillips to do a live performance of the record — it’s gonna be a moment for sure.”
the struggle of being independent
As an independent artist, Angel BP wears many hats — from writing and recording to promotion and strategy. “Being independent means you have to cover everything yourself — timing posts, figuring out promotion, learning the algorithm. It’s a hard curve, but you can’t fight it. The best way is to let it come organically — through real support, ads, and consistent drops.”
What’s next
He’s currently deep in the creative process, working on a new project — still deciding whether it’ll take shape as an album, EP, or mixtape. “I want my first major release to stick,” he emphasizes. “Not just something you listen to once and forget. I want it to be something classic — something that ages like fine wine.”
With a growing local fanbase and a clear vision, Angel BP is ready to become the artist that puts Sioux Falls — and the Midwest — on the map. “I can see myself gaining a large following,” he says confidently. “I want to give people another reason to look at my city. Nobody from here has made it yet — I wanna be the first.”
With his grounded storytelling, dedication, and the release of “CREAM (feat. Blaeko)”, Angel BP is proving that greatness can come from anywhere — even the smallest corners of the Midwest.
