Chilean Rock Band The Orbitals Debuts with Powerful EP Start Living

Emerging from Chile with a sound that blends the emotional grit of indie rock and the cinematic energy of classic 80s-inspired music, The Orbitals are quickly making their mark across Latin America. Led by bassist Christian Martín, the band has officially introduced itself to the world with its debut EP, Start Living — a passionate and energetic project centered around perseverance, emotion, and human connection.

In a recent interview, the band shared their excitement over the growing support they’ve been receiving from listeners in Argentina, a country widely recognized for its deep-rooted rock culture.

“We’re very happy that our English Speaking brothers and sisters are listening to us. The USA and UK are countries with a rich rock culture, so being present there, having our sound be heard and appreciated, is truly an honor,” the band said.

The Orbitals described Start Living as more than just a first release — it represents a statement of purpose and identity.

“Start Living is our kickoff, an energetic album, very singable, but made with a lot of heart. We sing about life, about moving forward, about pushing for more and not giving up,” they explained.

Among the standout tracks on the EP is “Quasar,” a heartfelt ballad dedicated to the people who become guiding lights during difficult moments.

“It’s a dedication to whoever is the light of your life — the one who came to support you and change your perspective.”

According to the band, the EP captures real-life experiences and intentional songwriting designed to resonate deeply with listeners.

“This record represents experience, life, and lyrics with intention — so that when people relate to them, they can sing them at the top of their lungs.”

With a growing audience and a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh, The Orbitals are positioning themselves as one of the promising new acts coming out of Chile’s modern rock scene.
