D21 – From Struggles to Stardom: Seattle’s Rising Hip-Hop Voice

Coming straight out of Seattle, Washington, D21 is more than just a rapper — he’s a storyteller, a survivor, and a versatile creator with a message the world needs to hear. With over 100,000 plays on SoundCloud, tracks like All ISO and The Worst have proven that his sound resonates deeply with listeners.

trials and tribulations

“I’ve been through a lot over the years,” D21 shares. “My personal struggles — especially the pain of losing family members — shaped my perspective. Music became my therapy, and now, I want it to be that same healing tool for others.”

What inspired D21 to start his music career

Inspired by the lyrical genius of Jay-Z’s Blueprint series and the timeless, spacey soundscapes of Pharrell and The Neptunes, D21 blends raw emotion with bold experimentation. “Jay-Z taught me about bars and grind — nonstop, 24/7. Pharrell gave me a whole vibe I could live with for life. I carry both with me in every track.”

What’s makes D21 different

His versatility stands out — whether it’s street anthems, introspective bangers, or genre-blending experiments, D21 brings a unique energy that’s impossible to ignore. Even as he explores other sounds, his roots in hip-hop and rap remain the heart of his art.

Goals and aspirations

Beyond music, D21 dreams big. “I want to be one of the biggest artists in the world. Tour globally. Sell out every show. Build my own clothing line. And collaborate with artists like Drake, Travis Scott, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert — the ones who’ve inspired me the most.”

What’s next

Now, he’s gearing up for his new music video, Rarri (Saucin), dropping soon across all platforms. “It’s a visual and sonic experience that captures where I am right now — focused, elevated, and hungry.” The hype doesn’t stop there. This November, D21 is dropping his next major project: the 4NEM Tape — a 17–18 track mixtape packed with energy, realness, and some surprise features (TBA). “This tape is for my day-ones and everyone going through something. I’m putting my soul into it.”

Featured in The Medium, Weekly HitMakers, Urban Hits Magazine, King Power Magazine, Drip Mode Magazine, and 24HipHop, D21 is making serious noise in the underground and is ready for that next level.
