EB: Turning Street Reality Into Purpose-Driven Music
Coming out of Ecorse, Michigan, EB’s journey into music wasn’t planned—it was inspired. Raised on basketball and street survival, EB found his entry point into rap after watching his cousins gain momentum on YouTube as part of a group called Starlife. Seeing people close to him make something out of music sparked a realization: if they could do it, so could he.
the start of EB
EB recorded his first song alongside his cousin Tank, marking the beginning of a path that would quickly intertwine music with real-life experiences. From there, he became part of a group called Been Rich, a period that reflected heavy involvement in street life. But that chapter didn’t define the destination. Eventually, EB made a conscious decision to step away from the streets and put his full focus into building a future through music.
How his career meant more others then just himself
“I wanted to win,” EB says—not just for himself, but for the people around him. His music doesn’t shy away from street narratives, because they’re real and lived-in. But the intention behind them is different. EB raps about what he knows while offering something more—an alternative vision for those who feel boxed in by their environment.
The consistency of EB
Without industry backing or formal recognition, EB has remained relentless. No awards, no shortcuts—just consistency. He records and releases song after song, video after video, shooting visuals himself on his phone and pushing forward even when told to quit and “get a job.” Staying consistent in the face of doubt has been his greatest challenge—and his greatest strength.
Goals and aspirations
EB’s vision extends far beyond music. He sees a future built on ownership and impact: clothing lines, restaurants, affordable housing for the homeless, traveling the world, and running his own label. At the core of it all is legacy—showing his kids and community something different than what he grew up seeing.
“I’m just trying to change the world one step at a time,” he says.
Currently, EB has no full album released, but he recently dropped a new single and video titled “Pay Attention,” now available on all major streaming platforms. The record captures his hunger, awareness, and refusal to be overlooked—a reflection of an artist who’s fully locked in on growth.
With authenticity, self-made visuals, and a purpose bigger than fame, EB represents a new kind of grind—one rooted in reality, resilience, and responsibility.
