What inspired him to do music
“Being from Chicago, music is everywhere—it’s in everyone’s background,” the artist explains. “What inspired me to do music was being able to express myself through it and help others get through whatever they’re going through. I just want people to know someone out there can relate to their pain and trauma.”
Turning losses into wins
That sense of purpose is what drives their work. Every lyric, every verse, carries a message of perseverance and reality. “I don’t have regrets in life,” they say. “Everything happens for a reason. You gotta take losses in order to win. Life’s like a roller coaster—I’ve never seen one that just goes uphill.”
Their debut project, No Happy Ending, earned strong feedback for its honest storytelling and versatile sound. It was a glimpse into the artist’s creative range and emotional depth. “I wanted to show people how versatile I am,” they share. “But I still feel like I didn’t show every arsenal I have in my toolbox. I named it No Happy Ending because in life, it’s always something after another—nothing ever just ends neatly.”

Next up, the artist is gearing up for the release of their upcoming project, Englewood, set to drop this December. The project pays homage to the neighborhood that shaped them and showcases their pure hip-hop roots. “This one’s personal,” they say. “It’s about my life, my city, and what it’s really like growing up on the South Side of Chicago.”
