Gary first came to Another Chance Housing seeking stable housing and a path toward a better future. Determined to improve his circumstances, he enrolled in and successfully completed the Another Chance Housing University program, where he received valuable training in financial literacy, budgeting, credit management, and homeownership.
Over the years, Gary’s commitment to personal growth has led him through an extraordinary progression within the organization. He began as a tenant, became a volunteer, advanced to an employee, and today serves as a business partner—helping others achieve the same goals he once pursued himself.

Like many individuals working to rebuild their lives, Gary faced significant challenges along the way. Through education, mentorship, and the support provided by Another Chance Housing, he developed the skills and confidence needed to move beyond dependence on Social Security Disability benefits and work toward self-sufficiency. Today, he is proud to call himself a homeowner and an active contributor to his community.
Most recently, Gary acquired a trailer home that requires extensive repairs and renovations to become a safe, comfortable, and sustainable place to live. Funds raised through community support and fundraising efforts will be used to address critical repairs, improve living conditions, and help ensure the home’s long-term stability.
