Queen LaBria: Faith, Truth, and Power in Every Bar
Hailing from New Haven, Connecticut, Queen LaBria is more than a rapper — she’s a songwriter, producer, and truth-teller who channels her real-life experiences into music that uplifts, inspires, and speaks directly to the soul. Her journey is one of resilience, creativity, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, which shines through every verse she writes and every beat she builds.
The meaning of her music
“My music comes from what I’ve been through,” Queen LaBria explains. “It’s about how I made it through life by leaning on my faith. I don’t compromise in my lyrics — my music is raw, it’s genuine, and it’s full of truth.”
Proudest accomplishment
That truth and authenticity have already begun to open major doors for her career. One of Queen LaBria’s proudest moments came when she performed at a BET Weekend event in Las Vegas, an experience that confirmed her purpose and her growing impact as an artist.
Trials and tribulations
But her success hasn’t come without challenges. While working on her debut album, Let Thy Will Be Done, she faced one of the biggest creative hurdles of her career — narrowing down the right songs to fit her vision. “I create so many songs,” she shares. “The hardest part was choosing which ones truly told the story I wanted this album to tell. I overcame it by focusing on how each song contributed to the message.”
Now, with her foundation stronger than ever, Queen LaBria is preparing for what promises to be a monumental year ahead. On January 2nd, she’ll be featured on a mixtape titled The Masterpiece Pt, produced by Scooby Austin. She’s also in the early stages of creating her second album — an EP inspired by 90s sampled beats that pays homage to the golden era of hip-hop.
What’s next
Looking ahead, Queen LaBria envisions collaborating with both rising talents and well-established artists, spreading her message even further. But no matter how far she goes, her mission remains rooted in faith and purpose.
“I want my music to be so powerful that if someone’s ready to give up on life, they hear one of my songs and it gives them the strength to keep fighting,” she says. “That’s the kind of impact I want to make.”
