SketchyFaces: Two Friends, One Vision, and a Whole Lot of Creativity

From the small town of Titusville, Florida, Jon Boy and Jay Black—known together as SketchyFaces—are proving that music doesn’t always have to start with fame, fortune, or fancy equipment. Sometimes, it’s just two friends having fun, pushing each other creatively, and making something real.

Sketchy’s passion for his music

SketchyFaces isn’t about perfection—it’s about passion. What started as two guys experimenting with sounds turned into an unexpected musical chemistry. “We’re just two dudes who happened to start making some music together,” they say. “We somehow inspire each other, and when we get together the creativity is nonstop. We’ve made some very questionable songs together—but we had a blast every step of the way.”

One man army

While they don’t boast big achievements or industry connections yet, SketchyFaces stand out for doing everything themselves. From producing beats and writing lyrics to shooting and editing their own videos, Jon Boy and Jay Black handle it all. That DIY spirit defines who they are: independent, inventive, and unapologetically authentic.

Goals for his music career

Their current goal? Exposure—and getting ears on their new track, “Tunnel Vision.” The song reflects their drive to keep creating, stay focused, and enjoy the process, no matter the obstacles. “We just want to see ourselves having fun and living our dream of making the music we want to make,” they add.

SketchyFaces might not follow the industry rulebook, but they’re building something just as valuable—music made purely for the love of it. And in today’s world, that’s something worth paying attention to.
