The Reggaepastor Returns With a Powerful Message Through Music

Apostle Lamoy Brown, widely known as “The Reggaepastor,” continues to inspire through both ministry and music as the founder of Liberty Vision of Hope Restoration Center. Originally from Falmouth, Apostle Brown has long been passionate about using music as a vessel to spread hope, faith, and encouragement.

How it all started

His journey in music began in 2003 when he entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Festival with his original song “Strengthen Me.” Although he did not advance beyond the first round, the experience only fueled his determination to continue pursuing his calling through music.

The spark to a new chapter

In 2008, his talent gained wider recognition when CVM Television hosted its “Faith Talent Search,” where The Reggaepastor placed in the Top 10 among hundreds of contestants. That same year, he re-entered the JCDC competition with the song “Love Me Still,” written by Jermaine Edwards, earning a spot in the Top 25 semifinalists.

Building on that momentum, The Reggaepastor released a full 16-track album in 2010, featuring collaborations including the inspirational track “Only One Name” alongside Jermaine Edwards. His music has always reflected his unwavering commitment to preaching the Gospel without compromise while connecting with listeners through authentic life experiences.

The comeback

After stepping away from the music scene for nearly fifteen years, The Reggaepastor is making a powerful return with his latest single, “Hustling.” The new release delivers a deeply personal message inspired by real-life struggles and perseverance — themes that many people around the world can relate to. More than just a song, “Hustling” aims to motivate both the church and the wider community while offering a broader perspective on the role of money and purpose within the Kingdom of God.

Currently residing overseas, Apostle Lamoy Brown remains active in ministry and continues to impact lives through both music and faith. He is also a member of JCAP.
