Timidated: Connecting Through Sound, Not Spotlight

Out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Timidated is a rising BandLab artist with a passion rooted in genuine connection rather than fame or fortune. For him, music isn’t just a creative outlet—it’s a way to reach people who feel the same way he does.

How music brings him happiness

“Music brings me happiness,” he explains. “I don’t just do it for money or whatever the case may be. In reality, I’m antisocial and not great at interacting with people. I just want to relate to people like me and connect from afar. Even if most people don’t know me, I’m happy to please the ones who do.”

accomplishments

While he hasn’t collected awards or major milestones yet, Timidated considers his biggest achievement simply being able to make music—to turn thoughts and emotions into something others can feel. It wasn’t always easy. Early on, he struggled with apathy and self-doubt, unsure if he’d ever improve or gain recognition. But determination kept him going. “I never had enough plays or people really listening,” he says, “but I still make music because I love it.”

What’s next

Musically, Timidated is versatile, exploring different sounds depending on what moves him. Once focused on rap, he’s now leaning toward cloud rap and other experimental directions, following whatever “floats his boat.”

At the end of the day, his goal is simple—to promote his music and find the right crowd of people who truly resonate with his sound and message.
