WyoLiPerc: Turning Pain Into Purpose from Baton Rouge to the World

Straight out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, WyoLiPerc — also known as WyoLiTay (short for “What You On”) — is carving out his lane with music that heals the soul and honors the ones he’s lost along the way. For him, music isn’t just sound — it’s peace, faith, and survival.

Why his music is different

“I think people should give me a listen because music is peace, and my music heals the soul,” he says. “The only story I tell is the story of my fallen soldiers — they live through me now. I’m different off the strength of my aura. I put God first and grind the rest.”

How change of mindset led him to great achievements

That mindset has carried WyoLiPerc from being homeless at 18 to building a real foundation for his career. Through persistence, belief, and hustle, he’s racked up nearly 50,000 views on YouTube and 10,000 streams on Apple Music, solidifying his presence as one of Baton Rouge’s rising artists with purpose behind his bars.

What’s next

Looking ahead, WyoLiPerc’s vision stretches far beyond himself. “In five years, either I’ll have a deal or I’ll be running my own label — putting on other artists,” he says. His goal is clear: to turn his grind into a gateway for others while continuing to grow the Mr. Wyo brand.

His latest release, a track from his Deluxe Album (available now on all streaming platforms), dropped August 25th — and he’s already gearing up to drop again soon. With his faith guiding him and his work ethic unmatched, WyoLiPerc is proof that no matter how dark the road gets, the grind and God’s plan will always light the way.
